Crazy DMs I get

This will surprise absolutely no one who's ever used the internet before, but as a woman and a hentai artist, I get a lot of weird messages virtually anywhere I leave DMs open.

Don't get me wrong, the overwhelming majority of people who contact me are kind, or at least polite. Lots of them are even encouraging! But a few, too many, are, well... you'll see.

Please keep in mind that my reddit bio specifically says that I'm not looking for romance or sexting, lmao.

Why don't you just close your DMs?

Because most DMs I get are from nice people who want to tell me that they like my art. And I enjoy those DMs! A lot!!! But I still get too many weird ones / people using reddit as a dating website. I did completely stop using rule34[dot]xxx because of constant harassment, though.

Which social media / website is the worst for bad DMs?

Rule34[dot]xxx by far. That place is a cesspit and the mods don't care and / or are powerless to do much about it. I could make a whole post about my experience there. Leave a comment if you'd be curious to read that. Discord and reddit are pretty close for second, but on discord I do keep my DMs closed lol! I've never actually gotten a weird one on twitter or bluesky. Here's hoping it stays that way!

How do I avoid ending up on this list? What's your policy for what counts as a crazy DM?

Anything that's so socially inept and completely disregards the fact that there's a person on the other end of the DM counts for me.

Sometimes what counts as "disregards that Emilie is a human" is really obvious. Like, if your opening message to me is how you want to rape me, that sucks, and I'm going to put you on here and I'm not going to censor your name (unless you seem to like the attention!).

Other times it's a little less hostile but still really annoying. As I said above, I'm not looking for romance at all, and that's in my bio on reddit (since for some reason a ton of people seem to think reddit is the dating / hookup website) and it really annoys me when guys try to slide into my DMs anyway, either because they can't be bothered to read it first or just because they don't believe me when I say I'm not looking for that. A lot of guys don't care about finding specifically a compatible woman and will just mass DM any woman hoping for attention. I find that dehumanizing.

If we send just a few messages, and you're asking me for pictures, and I gracefully dodge the request, and you ask again, I'll probably put you on here--but I'll censor your name at least.

For guys who just shoot their shot and admit that they missed my bio, or even act aggressive but then apologize, I probably won't put them up on here. 

What kind of DMs are okay to send you?

I enjoy talking about my art. Because of the nature of my art, I expect messages like "your art made me cum!" and stuff like that. I don't mind that at all! But I don't talk about my own real life sex life, so repeated questions about it won't be received well. I also don't want to see your dick, ever.

Wow, I draw both Rebecca Chambers and Albert Wesker a lot differently than this now. This is a pretty early piece, right after my obsession with this pairing got started. Ashley "coaxed" by Ada

This is the first ever captions project I ever did! I think I could do better now. What do you think? I adapted it originally from a larger image set featured in this post: Ashley learns her new place (side view and POV!) . How could Ada do something like this, and so ... easily? Guiltlessly? Leon just wanted to do his job and get Ashley home safe. Ashley, whom he came to respect and care for greatly, is a full person who deserves self-direction and would certainly never endure this kind of action without a gun to her head, and he wouldn't, either. Well, he'd be lying if he claimed he never thought about her like that, but he felt guilty enough already for ever stopping to consider Ashley's shapely legs in her soft pantyhose while they're stranded in hostile territory.
