Old art! Serena, a spider girl

This work is so oldddd! I definitely draw better (and different) than this now. I didn't know back then how to draw them with 6 arms and 3 sets of eyes like I wanted to, but I've since figured it out. I should really revisit this piece! But I think it still holds up okay. Don't let that sweet, loving face fool you. She's a lot more independent than she looks. Serena suffers from a rare disorder that causes her to over-produce and release eggs, a problem for her species because their female reproductive gametes are much more larger and complex than human egg cells. As such, her body has trouble reabsorbing them all if they go unfertilized, which can lead to painful overcrowding in her Fallopian tubes! She's saving up for a tubal ligation procedure, but in the mean time, the best treatment is to fertilize her eggs regularly.
