It's funny: a lot of times people on reddit will get mad at me for something totally unrelated (like I stood up for Palestinians or something) and bring out the fact that I'm a hentai artist like it's some kind of "gotcha!" Like I'll be worried and embarrassed if they point that out, even though I'm clearly commenting on non-porn stuff on my regular porn account because I don't have anything to hide, lol.

A lot of them will say, specifically, "Oh yeah? Well you make hentai for a living!" even though I make basically no money on this at all (support links are in the sidebar, though, if you wanna help fix that ehehe 😄) It feels like a compliment, like they're saying, "you're so good at art, you must be making a living doing this." They can't even deny my skill, even if they're saying they think it's a profession of ill repute.

But I guess shaming a hentai artist on the worst hentai website like rule34[dot]xxx for making the content they want to consume would be a strange look, so instead he just tried to tell me my art isn't that good. It's the hentai art equivalent of "You're not even that hot."
